Three children were killed after the Ukrainian army shelled an apartment building in Donetsk overnight, Alexei Kulemzin, the city's Russian-installed mayor, said in a Telegram post on Friday.

The fatalities were a boy born in 2014 and two girls born in 2007 and 2021, respectively, Kulemzin said.

There was no immediate response from Ukraine.
