A seedling breeding service center in Lanxi City, east China's Zhejiang Province, has significantly upgraded farming efficiency for farmers when spring sowing is in full swing.
At the service center's seedling breeding factory, the automatic rice seedling breeding line is running at full capacity. Workers need to put soaked seeds and compost into a machine which automatically finishes soil spreading, watering, seedling and soil covering.
At present, 14 seedling breeding service centers have been built in the city, which not only meet the seedling needs of farmers, but also lay a solid basis for mechanized rice production, paving the way for increasing grain output, agricultural efficiency and farmers' income.
