Marcus Rashford will not leave Manchester United during the summer transfer window, the club's manager Erik ten Hag confirmed on Friday.
As one of the biggest successes of United's youth academy in recent years, Rashford was promoted to the first team in 2016 and has scored 135 goals and delivered 74 assists in 407 games since then.
Transfermarkt.com valued Rashford at 60 million euros (about $65.4 million) by Thursday. The Premier League's Financial Fair Play rules favor teams in selling their academy graduates. The transfer fee United would receive in letting Rashford go will all be counted as profit, unlike that in the case of selling players that they bought from other clubs.
That's why, according to ESPN, Chelsea have been open to transfer talks over Conor Gallagher. Though he has been playing a key role in the club this season, it's a big temptation for Chelsea to sell him and cut as much as 48 million euros (about $52.3 million) of losses from their balance sheet.
United didn't make many moves during the winter transfer window because "Financial Fair Play rules have real teeth," according to their Chief Operating Officer (COO) Collette Roche. The club's financial situation is still tight before the summer window.

"We did not sign him last season for four years with the intention to sell him now," Ten Hag said at a press conference on Friday. "He should be part of this project. It is not a subject we don't talk about."
United are in the sixth place in the Premier League with 47 points after 28 games. Some of their injured players are expected to come back in the near future, according to Ten Hag.
"The players you mention [Rasmus Hojlund, Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka] returned on the pitch, partly at the start of the week and today [Friday] they had a session and were all training," the manager said. "We have one more session and we have to see how they recover from this but it looks good. Mason Mount trained all week with us. He had some full sessions with us, so it's looking good."
United will host Liverpool at Old Trafford in the FA Cup quarterfinals on Sunday.
