The 27th Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent to the DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo) passed the United Nations operational effectiveness inspection, achieving high standards. The medics were posted to the DRC in September 2023. During the four-day comprehensive evaluation, the operational effectiveness inspection team assessed various aspects, including the quality and conditions of their daily training, supplies, medical equipment, and weapons. The inspection team noted that the contingent met high standards in the evaluation, which also encompassed the contingent's combat effectiveness in emergency response, threat defense and rapid reaction operations, as per MONUSCO procedures.
