This is not an easy story to tell, it is a story of great suffering and of families destroyed. During the Vietnam War, the U.S. military sprayed more than 20 million gallons of the Agent Orange herbicide over Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. It contained dioxin, one of the most toxic chemicals known to man. In the mid-1960s, doctors in Vietnam started noticing an increasing number of babies born with severe deformities and, half a century later, the physical and mental impact that Agent Orange had on so many innocent people is a reminder of the true cost of war.
