Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has met with New Zealand's Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and his counterpart Winston Peters in Wellington. Wang is on the first leg of a five-day trip to New Zealand and Australia. It's also the first visit by a Chinese foreign minister to the two Pacific nations in seven years. In his opening remarks, Foreign Minister Peters said the meeting was a valuable opportunity for both sides to assess their bilateral ties.
