Recently, director Denis Villeneuve came to Beijing to promote his latest sci-fi epic "Dune: Part Two," which has brought Frank Herbert's classic sci-fi novel "Dune" to the silver screen. On March 15, he had a conversation with Chinese director Frant Gwo, a contemporary who's also considered a leading figure in China's sci-fi movie scene, with his "Wandering Earth" series shattering box offices and winning critical acclaim. And now both directors will face the challenge of how to approach the third installments of their respective franchises.
