The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) said on Monday that famine is projected to occur anytime by May 2024 in the northern governorates.
Malnutrition and food insecurity have probably exceeded famine levels in Gaza's north, and hunger-linked death rates were likely to do so soon, according to a report by the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC).
