China will join Serbia, Spain and Puerto Rico for the Paris Olympics women's basketball preliminary round in Group A this summer, according to the draw unveiled on Tuesday.
The Chinese women's squad, who finished fifth at the Tokyo Olympics and second place in the 2022 FIBA World Cup, will kick start their Olympic campaign against Spain on July 29, followed by meetings with Serbia on August 1, and Puerto Rico on August 4.
Meanwhile, the men's draw is not finalized. The Olympic Qualifying Tournaments (OQTs) scheduled to take place in Greece, Latvia, Puerto Rico and Spain in early July, will hand out the last four berths.

Group A: Australia, OQT winners in Greece, Canada, OQT winners in Spain
Group B: France, Germany, Japan, OQT winners in Latvia

Group A: Serbia, Spain, China, Puerto Rico
Group B: Canada, Nigeria, Australia, France
Group C: Germany, United States, Japan, Belgium
