Former Greek FM: Countries should speak to each other rather than confront

10:31

"In the future, East and West, North and South should continuously speak to each other, not in confronting terms but trying to promote a common interest for all humanity," said former Greek Foreign Minister Georgios Katrougkalos at the third International Forum on Democracy: The Shared Human Values held in Beijing on March 20.

He pointed out that China enjoys the highest percentage of trust among its population; the median global approval of China is higher than that of the U.S. in the developing world. "We're living in the multipolar world; the influence of policies of different countries should be estimated by the population," he added.
