Several explosions and heavy gunfire occurred near the Gwadar Port Authority complex in Pakistan's coastal city of Gwadar on Wednesday, local media reported.

Eight attackers were killed by retaliatory fire from security personnel, Geo News reported.

The Balochistan Liberation Army has claimed responsibility for the attack, it said in a statement.
