Former deputy speaker of Malaysia: Whole-process people's democracy stems from Chinese wisdom

The third International Forum on Democracy: The Shared Human Values kicked off in Beijing on Wednesday. Ong Tee Keat, a former deputy speaker of the Lower House of the Malaysian Parliament, made a keynote speech, speaking highly of China's whole-process people's democracy and its notions stemming from Chinese traditional wisdom, pledging democratic diversity and citizen participation in public policymaking.
