02:51

The Queqiao-2 relay satellite, a critical satellite for China's lunar exploration program, especially missions that concern the far side of the moon, was launched on Wednesday. The relay satellite is capable of providing relay communication not only for China's Chang'e-4, Chang'e-6, Chang'e-7 and Chang'e-8 missions but also for future domestic and international lunar exploration missions. Senior members involved in the project explained to CGTN the significance the satellite holds.
