At the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand Winston Peters and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia Penny Wong, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is paying an official visit to New Zealand and Australia for the first time in seven years.

In this video, John Key, a former prime minister of New Zealand, speaks about his relationship with China. He said that New Zealand was the first Western country to recognize China as a market economy, as well as the first developed country to start negotiating and sign a free trade agreement with China.

During his tenure, Key met with Chinese officials and visited China many times, drawing the China-New Zealand friendship even closer. Currently, as the chairman of the Investments Committee at Stonewood Key China, he continues to promote trade cooperation between China and New Zealand in the field of new and sustainable energy. He plans to visit China again in July and hopes to bring more opportunities to investors from both countries.
