China on Wednesday called on parties to the Sudan conflict to implement a ceasefire in the Muslim holy month of Ramadan as soon as possible to avoid civilian casualties and prevent the conflict from further spilling over to neighboring countries. Dai Bing, deputy permanent representative of the Chinese Mission to the United Nations, made the remarks at a public meeting held by the UN Security Council.
