To welcome the 41st Luoyang Peony Festival and enhance tourists' visiting experience, the Longmen Grottoes in Henan's Luoyang launched a night tourism project on March 20. As night falls, the grottoes are bathed in the warm glow of illuminations that showcase their ancient splendor.

The spot features tens of thousands of statues, caves and niches that perfectly reflect ancient Buddhist culture and craft skills in China. Listed as a UNESCO Heritage Site in 2000, it has long been considered as a treasure trove of Northern Wei Dynasty (386–534) and Tang Dynasty (618–907) Buddhist art.
