This year marks the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Dominica.
Since the two countries established diplomatic ties two decades ago, the relationship between China and Dominica has enjoyed steady growth and become a fine example of mutual respect, equality, mutual benefit, common development and win-win cooperation between countries of different sizes, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian said on Wednesday.
Dominica is an important country in the Caribbean, and also a good friend and partner of China in the region. In 2018, Dominica signed a memorandum of understanding with China to cooperate on the Belt and Road Initiative. As of 2020, the value of China's contracted projects in Dominica reached $500 million. In 2023, the trade volume between the two countries topped $70 million.
