China strongly condemns terrorist attacks, and firmly supports Russia in safeguarding its national security and stability, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Saturday.

The spokesperson made the remarks in response to the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Russia's Moscow on March 22 local time, which caused heavy casualties.

China is deeply shocked by the heavy casualties inflicted by the severe terrorist attack, said the spokesperson, adding that China deeply mourns the victims and extends sincere sympathies to the injured and the bereaved.

The spokesperson said China opposes all forms of terrorism, strongly condemns terrorist attacks and firmly supports Russia in safeguarding its national security and stability.
