Relief is not in sight for millions of starving and displaced people in Gaza who began Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting, on March 11. As the Israel-Hamas conflict rages on and bloodshed continues, social order is collapsing in Gaza as desperate Palestinians struggle to make a living.

CGTN Stringer hit the streets of Rafah during Ramadan. A refugee living in a tent lamented that she had never experienced a worse Ramadan in her life. She prepared nothing for Ramadan this year and just waited for the suffering that's coming to her. Another refugee said he could not buy even a box of sweets or a jar of jam because of the soaring prices. He woke up from sleep, hearing bombing sounds one day, then was displaced to Rafah.
