China urges the Philippines to stop provocations in China's territorial waters near Ren'ai Jiao, Chinese Ministry of Defense spokesperson Wu Qian said on Saturday.

The China Coast Guard (CCG) announced on Saturday that it has taken actions against Philippine ships that illegally entered the waters adjacent to Ren'ai Jiao of China's Nansha Qundao.

China has indisputable sovereignty over Nansha Qundao, including Ren'ai Jiao and its adjacent waters, Wu said, adding that China will take necessary measures to firmly safeguard national sovereignty.
