The two-day China Development Forum 2024 has kicked off in Beijing. The annual event is a platform for dialogue between the Chinese government, global businesses, academia and international organizations. Liu Yangsheng, founding director of the Center for China and the World, a research unit affiliated with the City University of Macao, says the opening up of the Chinese market benefits both the global north and south.
