2024 Boao Forum for Asia: Navigating global challenges for a shared future

Preparations for the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference have been completed, Boao, Hainan, March 25, 2024. /CFP

The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2024, under the theme of "Asia and the World: Common Challenges, Shared Responsibilities," will be held from March 26 to 29 in Boao, Hainan Province. 

This year's event aims to address contemporary global challenges, rebuild confidence and promote shared development.

Government officials, heads of international organizations, business leaders, and experts from various countries are expected to attend the event.

The conference agenda is around four key pillars: the global economy, social development, international cooperation, and scientific and technological innovation, covering dozens of topics.

The forum is set to host insightful discussions on the future of artificial intelligence (AI). These sessions will aim to shed light on when and where the next breakthrough moment in the technology revolution would occur, the transformative impact of AI Generated Content (AIGC) on society, and the global governance of AI.

Additionally, the conference will focus on topics such as combating global trade fragmentation, global economic outlooks, and global security challenges.

Surrounding the fruitful achievements of the Belt and Road Initiative over the past decade, speakers will also deliberate on how to jointly build a "Digital Silk Road" and strengthen cooperation in fields like technological innovation and the digital economy.

Moreover, as an important window for the world to understand China's development, the Boao Forum will include key sessions on analyzing China's development trajectory to convey the latest signals of China's development.
