A Shifang panda-themed train left Chengduxi Railway Station and was bound for Qingdao on Friday. Adorned with giant panda images both inside and out, the train's color scheme drew inspiration from the bronze relics found at the Sanxingdui Ruins.

Equipped with a karaoke room, dance hall, mahjong room and other facilities, the train can accommodate over 400 passengers. "Panda Butlers" were also on board to provide passengers with one-stop services. To make sure that the journey is never dull, themed activities such as Sichuan Opera and guzheng, a traditional Chinese plucked instrument, performances were staged in the cabins.

Since its launch on March 28, 2021, China's first panda-themed tourist train has traveled to many cities across the country, effectively driving the development of local cultural and tourism industries.
