Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng met with some leaders of multinational enterprises on Monday at the China Development Forum (CDF) 2024 in Beijing.
He, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, exchanged views on the economic prospects of China and the world and expanding investment in China with business leaders, such as Stephen Schwarzman, chairman and CEO of the Blackstone Group; Albert Bourla, chairman and CEO of Pfizer; and Roland Busch, president and chief executive officer of Siemens AG.
China is accelerating the development of new quality productive forces, and its economy has maintained a good and steady momentum, the vice premier said, noting that global multinational companies are welcome to further expand investment in the country.
The business leaders expressed optimism about the potential of the Chinese market, saying that they will expand investment in the Chinese market.
CDF 2024 was held on March 24 and 25. The theme of this year's forum was "The Continuous Development of China."
