The death toll from a passenger van and a dump truck collision on a highway in Cotabato province in the southern Philippines on Monday has risen to 17, local authorities said.
The dead are the driver and passengers of the van, police Captain Godofredo Tupaz said, adding that the truck driver is in police custody.
