China on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to attract and utilize more foreign investment in a move to promote economic globalization.
Investing in China is investing in the future, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng said during the Invest in China Summit 2024 in Beijing.
China is willing to share opportunities, grow together with enterprises from all over the world and promote the building of an open world economy, he said.
Building the "Invest in China" brand is the country's practical action to expand high-level opening up to the world and promote a stable and smooth flow of the global industrial and supply chains, he added.
China will unswervingly expand its high-level opening up and continue to build a first-class business environment that is market-oriented, rule-of-law-oriented and internationalized so as to create better conditions for the development of enterprises from all over the world in China, Han said.
The summit, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the Beijing Municipal People's Government, marks the first signature event of "Invest in China," a government campaign to attract foreign investment and help foreign companies better understand China's opportunities. More than 140 entrepreneurs and representatives of foreign business associations in China from 17 countries and regions attended the event.
