UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned on March 25 that there is an "imminent risk of famine" in northern Gaza and it is "absolutely essential to have a massive supply of humanitarian aid now and this means opening more entry points."
The UN chief made the remarks during a news conference in Amman alongside Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi. The supply of aid is needed with "concentration of efforts of all entities without obstacles, without limitations from the Israeli side," he said. "Many children are already today dying of hunger."
