It's been about half a year since the resumption of international cruise routes on September 25, 2023, from Sanya, south China's Hainan Province. The cruise routes were halted for over three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sanya Customs supervised 64 inbound and outbound cruise ships and 148,000 inbound and outbound cruise personnel since the resumption last year, according to recent customs data.

The overall on-site customs clearance efficiency of cruise ships increased from 832 people per hour on the first voyage to 2,000 people per hour, and the customs clearance time of passengers increased by 1.4 times, according to customs.
