Six more geoparks in China have been added to the list of UNESCO Global Geoparks network, including the Enshi Grand Canyon-Tenglongdong Cave in Hubei Province, Changbai Mountain in Jilin Province, Wugongshan Mountain in Jiangxi Province as well as the ones in Xingyi, Guizhou Province, Linxia in Gansu Province and Longyan in Fujian Province. This takes the total number of UNESCO Global Geoparks in China to 47, the most in the world. Adopted in 2015, the geoparks list was created by UNESCO to recognize geological heritage areas of international significance.
