A U.S. State Department official working at the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor has resigned over the country's support for Israel. Annelle Sheline is the second State Department official to publicly step down since the Israeli–Palestinian conflict began, citing the erosion of U.S. credibility on human rights.
