In an interview with China Media Group, Nauruan President David Adeang said that China has a lot of experience tackling climate change. Adeang stressed that Nauru is looking forward to diversifying its economy and cooperating with China in many fields. "If we can get just a small fraction of the capacities, the technologies, and the systems that is potentially available from China, we can easily transform a tiny country from what it is to a beacon of what progress and development should be in the Pacific, if not the world," he added.
