Qingmingba is a seasonal delicacy popular in southern China, particularly around Qingming Festival, which typically falls in early April. Similar to Qingtuan, Qingmingba is made of glutinous rice mixed with a blend of wormwood paste. However, it has its distinct appearance and taste. Apart from its sweet flavor, Qingmingba can be stuffed with a variety of ingredients such as diced meat, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, red peppers, dried bean curd, pickles, and more, offering a diverse range of flavors and textures.

In the city of Tongren in Guizhou Province, locals believe that the best Qingmingba must be handmade. There, workshops specialize in crafting these delicacies, emphasizing traditional techniques, and ensuring the quality and authenticity of each treat.
