Explosions were heard in the vicinity of Syrian capital Damascus amid a suspected Israeli air strike, local media reported Monday.

Syria's state media SANA said the strikes targeted a building in the Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus and the Syrian air defenses intercepted "hostile targets."

Iran's SNN news website reported that the Israeli attack was targeting Iran's consulate and ambassador's residence in Syria.

No casualties have been reported, and Israel hasn't commented on the strike.
