Severe convective weather claims 4 lives in Nanchang, E China


Four people were killed and more than 10 others injured amid severe convective weather, including high winds, thunderstorm and heavy rains, in Nanchang, the capital city of east China's Jiangxi Province, early on Sunday, China Media Group reported citing authorities.

China's meteorological authority on Monday renewed a blue alert for torrential rains in the north of Jiangxi, parts of Anhui, Hubei and Hunan provinces, with hourly precipitation that can reach 70 millimeters.
