As the gentle breeze of spring sweeps across China, various regions are ablaze with the vibrant hues of blooming flowers, transforming the vast landscape into a fairyland with a kaleidoscope of colors.

Cherry blossoms are a popular spring flower. They were planted in China's palace gardens as early as 2,000 years ago. Widely distributed across China nowadays, a "blossom front" sweeps the country from south to north for almost half a year.

The unusually warm weather in mid-March this year brought an early spring to many cities in northern China, and with it, the blooming period of cherry blossoms. In Beijing, the first cherry blossoms bloomed around March 19, five days earlier than the average.

Yuyuantan Park in Beijing is famous for the "Cherry Blossom Festival", which is held every spring. Here, you can see over 40 varieties of flowering cherry trees in March and April. While walking under the trees, you might experience a romantic cherry blossom rain.

If you are looking for something special, you can take photos of green cherry blossoms in Luancheng Cherry Blossom Park in Shijiazhuang City, north China's Hebei Province. Compared to ordinary pink cherry blossoms, the green flowers demand more care. On sunny days, they have to be shielded from strong sunlight to prevent the color from fading - so enjoy it while it lasts.

In April, peach blossoms also enter their best viewing season in Nyingchi, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region. You can take a stroll in the pink flower sea under the snow-capped mountain on the plateau.

According to Nyingchi's publicity department, the earliest blooming peach blossoms can be found in Zayu county. Their flowering period normally lasts for a month.
