Qingtuan, a traditional delicacy popular in southern China during Qingming Festival, is traditionally made with glutinous rice flour kneaded with Chinese mugwort juice and filled with sweet bean paste, resulting in its vibrant green color.
In recent years, there has been a surge in the innovation of making Qingtuan, with different kinds of fillings and vegetable juice being added to its production.
