The year 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic ties, with several cultural exchanges thriving. The "Meet Napoleon: The Disappeared Palaces" exhibition has opened at the Meet You Museum in Beijing's 798 Art District, aiming to enhance the friendship and cultural understanding between the two countries. While Napoleon's name is widely recognized in China for the former French emperor's political and military achievements, the exhibition shows another side of his personality. It features 81 sets of precious artifacts from the Napoleonic era of the 19th century, including oil paintings, sculptures, furniture, and decorative items. Through immersive settings and multimedia displays, visitors can witness the multifaceted life of Napoleon up close.
