Four people were killed and more than 10 others injured as a result of the severe convective weather that hit Nanchang in east China's Jiangxi Province on Sunday. The atmospheric convection brought about strong winds, thunderstorms and heavy rains to the city of 6.57 million residents during the day. China's meteorological authority renewed a blue alert for torrential rains, with hourly precipitation possibly reaching 70 millimeters. Authorities have also warned about potential disasters, urging people to take necessary precautions.
