A Chinese mainland spokesperson on Wednesday expressed deep concern over earthquakes in Taiwan region and extended sincere condolences to compatriots affected by them.
"We will pay close attention to the disaster situation and are willing to provide relief assistance," said Zhu Fenglian, a spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office.
