Cleanup underway after Israel strikes Iranian consular annex in Syria

Rescue and cleanup work is underway in Damascus after an Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consular annex killed at least 13 people on April 1. Iranian state TV reported on April 2 that the airstrike had killed seven Iranian military advisers and six Syrians.

It is also reported that Iran will send a delegation to Damascus to participate in the investigation of this attack. Both the Syrian military and Iran blamed Israel for the airstrike, but the Israel Defense Forces declined to comment.
