Chinese President Xi Jinping said China is ready to work with Indonesia to uphold ASEAN unity and centrality, and maintain an open, inclusive regional architecture. Du Lan, deputy director of the Department for Asia-Pacific Studies at the China Institute of International Studies, said that both China and Indonesia are aiming to maintain peace and stability in the region while facing continuous economic tension and geopolitical challenges.
