A magnitude-7.3 earthquake hit the waters off Hualien County, China's Taiwan region, at 7:58 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center. The Taipei City rescue team has dispatched search and rescue crews to Hualien, and the New Taipei City rescue team is also assembling rescue forces for a rescue trip. However, the road to Hualien County has been closed.
