Less than a couple of hours' drive from Beijing, the Xiongan New Area has been designed as a green city featuring innovation and providing a national model of high-quality development. Dubbed a "city of the future," the city marked its seventh anniversary on April 1. During these years, Xiongan has been transformed from a concept on a drawing board into an actual city.
