At least nine people were confirmed dead after powerful quakes hit Hualien County in China's Taiwan region, local authorities said on Wednesday. A magnitude-7.3 earthquake jolted the sea near Hualien of China's Taiwan at 7:58 a.m. (Beijing Time) on April 3, followed by multiple aftershocks, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
