Water level rises significantly at China's largest freshwater lake

Due to heavy rainfall both at the lake and further upstream, the water level of Poyang Lake has been rising rapidly.

Located in east China's Jiangxi Province, Poyang Lake was once the ancient Pengli Lake.

As the country's largest freshwater lake, its undulating water volume in recent years has raised concerns.
