Many fans of musicals in China are already familiar with the name Laurent Ban, to the extent that he has already been given the nickname Lao Hang Ban, meaning "Frequent Flyer." This is a fitting tribute as the actor often travels between China and France. Since he first visited the country in 2007, Ban has made no fewer than 20 follow-up trips. He is now touring the country with the French musical "Don Juan." CGTN reporter Shen Li caught up with the artist in Beijing to hear his thoughts about his special connection with China, and why he believes musicals are the best way of touching people's hearts.
