Wuzhi Mountain, also known as Five-finger Mountain, is the highest peak in Hainan Province, towering 1,840 meters above the center of the island. The ridge of the mountain is shaped in a sawtooth pattern, and the contours resemble five fingers, which is how Wuzhi Mountain got its name. The area surrounding the mountain is mainly inhabited by the Li ethnic group.
