Located in Luoyang, Laojun Mountain is one of the most popular tourist destinations in central China's Henan Province. During the three-day Qingming Festival holiday, the scenic spot has received a surge of visitors amid misty weather, resulting in foot traffic control.
Situated at an altitude of more than 2,000 meters, the palaces at the top of the mountains are regarded as holy places of Taoism. Historically, the mountain was known as the retreat of Laozi, founder of Taoism.
