Preliminary hearings have wrapped up at the UN's top court, in a case filed by Nicaragua. It accuses Germany of facilitating the Israeli assault on Gaza by selling weapons to Israel. Berlin rejects the accusation. Dr Qiu Huixin, a lecturer at the Law School of Nanjing University, says Germany is likely to ignore the ICJ's ruling and continue supplying Israel with weapons, because the court has no enforcement power.
