The deep ocean, below 200 meters, is the largest habitat for life on our planet... and one of the most difficult to access. The ocean floor also contains vast amounts of minerals, almost identical to those found on land. CGTN's Ehrard Vermaak spoke to Michael Lodge, secretary-general of the UN's International Seabed Authority, on the regulations balancing deep sea exploration and environmental protection.
